Many apps on some devices sometimes drain much more battery than on previous firmwares (2.2, 2.2.1).
upd: 3.1 firmware has this issue still :( Apple confirm this issue and they work for fix it.
upd2: People often have such kind of problem, if they had installed Exchange Active Sync email account.

We continue our investigating of this issue still but we could give you some recommendations if you are affect this issue.
We did following procedure and never got this issue:
1. Setup Airplane mode. (Improtant - do it BEFORE! next step)
2. Reboot device.
3. Start EasyWakeup.
Yes, we know it's not cool to reboot your iPhone before every night, but we update this post when we will find root cause of this issue.

Also we have:

good news for iPhone owners:

Since 3.0 firmware Apple allow use acceleremeter in time screen is off via proximity sensor. And our products support this feature since 2.6.2 version. This feature reduce batery drain "less than 5%" instead of "less than 50%" (of course if your device is not affected by previous described issue).
Hint: to activate proximity sensor need to place your iPhone with the screen side down.
It turn off screen and save much more battery power.

I will try the solution suggested above with rebooting the phone before bedtime.  Even when I have charged the battery for 5 hours or more, it still is completely dead by morning making this application worthless and a waste of money!  I am so frustrated!  Please find a solution to this soon!

So? Did you try it?
One improtant remark: need to turn on airplane mode BEFORE rebooting iPhone.

You wrote to our support and we reply to you twice. Some problems with email receive?

Since I use a wristband, I'll just obstruct the sensors with some tape.
Just 10% battery usage, much better!

What version of EasyWakeup do you use?
I use the AppStore version and have firmware 3.0. I turn on airplane mode, but do not restart or anything like that. I do turn the brightness down to the lowest level and turn off the auto adjust setting. My battery usage is around 50%.
So unless there are different builds of 3.0 around, or due to some iPhone bug, or due to jailbreaking the iPhone and different apps which are running, reasons one and two
(1. Built-in MobileMail application. Some people wrote this app worked even if automatically check is disabled in settings...
2. New Apple feature "Spotlight Search". Possible it tries to index your files while you don't use iPhone.
And of course we update this post when we will have more clear information. Also you could put comment to this post about your experience.)
are probably false.
My random guess is that this issue does not occur with the AppStore version.

The phone that I have is not jail broken and was bought from Apple a year ago: Iphone 3G. It also has the most up to date version of the application and the most up to date version of the Apple softwear. The app was bought from the Apple app. store.

For some reason I am unable to log in. I did not receive your emails before, but I did receive the one sent today. I did try the suggestions mentioned for the alarm and had success in that the battery did not die. Thank you for your helpful suggestions and your time!

some devices sometimes drain much more battery
Do you have any new findings in this issue?
My device seems to be affected by this battery problem. I bought the Cydia FULL Version using Firmware 3.0. The device needs about 90% of the battery in 6h. Same problem occurs with the "Sleep Cycle" app.
I didn't try the reboot-workaround until now.

At first update your firmware to 3.1.2 - Apple fixed many issues related with battery in this firmware
At second - EW Full product has option "extra save" which allow to minimize battery drain but disable sleep statistic
At third - reboot-workaround really work & we want to notice we are never get report about this issue on iPod devices (only for iPhone)

1. Are you sure that you reboot iPhone AFTER then you setup airplane mode?
2. Probably you have some third-party app from cydia which drain your battery - please give us to know your non-Appstore app list.
Upgrade to 3.1.2 is good way to clean all third-party apps

first, thanks for the support.

1. I'm sure that I rebooted after setting the iphone into the airplane mode

2. Now I upgraded to FW 3.1.2 and installed the following Cydia apps:
- SBSettings
- Cycorder
- Five Icon Dock
- Winterboard
- Flashlight
- IFile
- Installous
- NemusSync
- EasyWakepup Full

Without rebooting in airplane mode the battery was empty again after 5.5 hours running EasyWakeup with locked screen...

Your applist contains one unexpected app "NemusSync"
It was good app for 1.1.4 firmware but now it does not requered as i understand.
here google instruction how to get same features as "NemusSync" via default behaviour:

P.S. Our support via email is much faster than via site...

Hey guys! if your iPhone/iTouch is jailbroken u wont have to reboot it, there is another solution that I always use :) Its called respring, it restarts the Springboard, free's up memory and closes unwanted processes. Just like if you rebooted your device. There are several respring apps in Cydia, i think that the best one is SBsettings because it has other good stuff too. I definately reccomend it before going to bed. :)
